As a live illustrator, I have the pleasure of being invited to illustrate for different kinds of live events. This week I am illustrating for a client who is representing Visit Dubai and hosting a networking roadshow for them.
Tonight we are in Glasgow and I get to visit Citation in the merchant’s quarter.
I was illustrating guest portraits onto artwork I had pre-prepared. The brief was to illustrate 3 landmarks in Dubai and have the portraits painted in front of these.
The event was hosted by Visit Dubai and they performed some talks about the benefits of tourism to Dubai. It sounds very appealing.
Guests enjoyed being sketched from poses and really gave a positive response.
I love creating art that makes people smile
Also on the evening there was a grand buffet provided by Citation kitchen. Think eastern foods such as lamb kofta, chicken and salmon skewers. Cous cous salad. Followed by trays of dessert platters.
I enjoyed the challenge of painting guests.
This event was smaller at around 50 attendees so there was no pressure.
Visit Dubai was hosting a B to B event on this roadshow where I met business people including hotel owners and travel consultants.
