Commissioning a House Portrait

You can commission a house portrait in one of two ways:

Painted from photographs

Most house portraits are painted from photographs. You can send me a few clear images of your home, taken from slightly different angles if possible. From these, I will create a detailed and carefully composed painting, adjusting light, colour and small details to present your home at its very best.

If you’re unsure which photos to use, I’m always happy to advise.

Live painting at your home

For a truly special experience, I also offer live, on-site house painting.

I come to your home and paint from life, capturing the atmosphere and character of the property as it sits in its surroundings. This option is particularly popular for milestone occasions, celebrations, or as a memorable gift.

Live painting is available by arrangement and is subject to location and weather conditions.

Watercolour House Portraits

Light, elegant and full of character, watercolour is ideal for capturing homes with softness and charm.

Painted on archival watercolour paper and supplied unframed.

Oil House Portraits

Oil paintings offer rich colour, depth and a timeless finish. This medium is perfect if you are looking for a more substantial statement piece.

Painted on canvas or board and ready for framing.

Live Painting (Watercolour or Oil)

Prices for live, on-site painting start from £1,500, depending on size, medium and location. Please contact me to discuss your home and requirements.

A deposit is required to secure your commission, with the balance due on completion.
